Some of the most renowned Baila singers in Sri Lanka include Sunil Perera and the Gypsies, M. S. Fernando, Anton Jones, and Desmond de Silva. Other notable figures include Nihal Nelson, Maxwell Mendis, Saman De Silva, and Dhanapala Udawaththa. The Gypsies, led by Sunil Perera, are particularly famous for their contributions to Baila music and have performed widely, including internationally.
